Finish with a Flourish!

I had a pretty sweet wrap-up to the week this week. I was too busy relating the good times had at the Nasty Party in gory detail to keep you up on the recent 'happs'. I'll cover that off now. Wednesday I picked up my new truck at long last. Thursday morning I was back at the dealership for them to finally do the work they were supposed to do in the previous two weeks. Trucks need front license plates in this part of the world after all. The tonneau cover would have been nice to have on previously also. But I've got it and I'm only missing a couple of screws now for it to be complete, and a Du-Ha that fits in it, oh, and mudflaps. Next I toured over to Toronto to meet a guy at a hotel near the airport for a couple of hours. Wait! It's not a perverse as it sounds! I met a colleague to do some work collaboration before heading downtown Smoke for some food and to take in a Leaf game! The Leafs knocked off the Flyers in a well played game. I was very pleased with the way it all turned out. Friday was a very productive day. I gave my kid the day off and that allowed me to lock in at the home office and get after things. Towards the end of the day I made arrangements with a co-worker to give him a ride to the Knights game I was invited to. A retailer I work with got a box and someone must have dropped out because I was given a ticket to enjoy the game with the staff and some of their customers. It was fun, the Knights lost against a strong Erie team but the trip broke my lifelong streak of never having been inside Bud Gardens. It's a nice building. I dropped off my colleague and his daughter and made my way to Cheese's place. Two Glasses of Wine was home and we chatted idly until Cheese rolled in, fresh off his performance. The next morning we recorded a conversation which will go up this week. I'm happy to see us getting ahead of it for once. I'm hoping to reach a position of stockpiling for when life gets weird in a couple of months. So to recap, new truck, Leaf game, Knights game, Cheese visit. Pretty nice little run there, I'll take the win and use the rest of the weekend to convalesce heading into my holidays. Maybe I'll do some regular maintenance on my home, who knows what insanity I will get up to. I might even take down some of my good rum and sprite tonight while watching the Leafs on TV.
