Sunday Funday

Since I was in bed long before the end of the reception of the awkward wedding (see post, read it first, go ahead, I'll wait), I was well rested to tackle the day Sunday. I scheduled a lunch with my old pal the Estimator. I didn't realize it but I would be messenger for he and the Brown man. I whiled away my morning helping the Big T hook up equipment then walking the two dogs. The dog thing will have more detail later. I got back from the dogs and had to go get the T so he could go pick oats in the field. I finished that up just in time to get into town to see my Mom's Mom. I visited with her for a bit and then had to duck out to go meet the Estimator on the patio by the lake. We ran into another familiar face and had many handshakes with him. It took us a good deal of time to order as we were busy catching up but eventually we had a nice little lunch with several beers each. We didn't want the fun to end so I offered to drive him to his errands that were lined up for the day. We stopped at the LC and I'm greeted by the parents of the bride, and the bride herself, returning the leftover booze from the reception. It wasn't all that much so a good time was had. We chatted briefly and the Estimator emerged with his wares and it was one of those rare social situations where things work out perfectly. His time inside was the exact amount of time we carried on pleasant conversation. There was no rushed goodbye or any awkward stretching. I take pleasure in the small miracles of the world. Next I brought him to pick up some photographs, 450 of them. I guess he scrapbooks stuff now. Good for him I guess? We said our goodbyes and I got home just in time to get ready for dinner. It was at the Lance's for his eldest daughter's 23rd birthday. There were members from three sides of the family there so it was another melting pot of people. I got to visit with my only other living grandparent and see several aunts and uncles. The meal was Mexican, and delicious. As much as I tried to not eat myself stupid, I failed. Well, not fully, maybe just ate myself dopey. We departed not long after the dishes were done and the coffee was gone. Powering through more Game of Thrones finished up the weekend for us. When the dust settled, my parents had knocked off season 2 in only a couple of days. I thought that was impressive for them. I tucked in early as I had to leave early in the morning to get back to work by mid-afternoon.
