Heat Wave Slave
Oh the weather outside is frightful, and the posts, they stay insightful. We need a bit of rain I know, so let it go, let it go, let it go!
Obviously that little daddy was meant to be sung in the styling of Let it snow but I assumed that if I said that people would try to install my head on a spike. But maybe some cooler temperatures would be nice. It is hot! That stinking hot, gross, sweaty humid style of pressure system. The kind where just moving outside causes profuse and unrelenting sweat. The uncomfortable to do anything but hide in an air conditioned room and wait it out. No break upcoming either. Looks like adaptation is required this round. That business is going to cling to our geography for almost another week before things plummet down to seasonal averages. If we don't get a slurp of rain in that timeframe, the crops are going to prematurely shutdown. This will decrease yields ultimately and will help drive prices upwards. There it is, always comes back around to the cash money. Money seems to rule the day and dictate many of our actions and choices. Enslaving us almost as bad as this heat wave. Whether it limits our options to used tires or restricts us completely like not going to Cabo over Christmas to avoid a family gathering. It has a knack for indirect puppetry as well. Have I been called cheap? Sure! I prefer "extremely careful with his money" but I don't get the final say. Being cheap is a lot of work, sacrifices must be made. Like choosing Hamburger Harmony over the Helper. Or No Name over anything except ice cream sandwiches. Don't hate people for being cheap, it's quite an effort. And don't confuse cheap people with couponers. Don't lump me into that. Either way, stupid money controls too much. Which is why I put aside a bit to blow on dumb stuff. I dropped a couple hundred last week on that sort of material. I did get a great ocean painting for my room. Didn't need it, was expensive, but hell, a man can't wear shackles everyday. If he wants to buy a glass head for a friend he does it. Try it some time. It's quite liberating.
