Another Wedding?

Yes, I attended another wedding. I guess 2015 was the big year to get hitched. Or all my friends are getting to that age where locking it down is quite fashionable. Either way, I was pretty honoured to attend this one. There were not a massive collection of friends from the past so for me to be selected as one I truly appreciated it. I made these sentiments known in the card I mailed as well as the next day in a thank you text to my friend, the bride. She conveyed that she was just happy to have me make it out for the day. And thanked me for my exploits on the dance floor, which in my own humble opinion were modest at best. There were many better dancers there, which made it all the more enjoyable to see them strut their stuff. Cheese and Two Glasses of Wine were in fine form in that respect. 2GW came later in the evening as she was attending a different wedding earlier in the day. Impressive to hit two in one day.

Cheese was actually the co-emcee at this event. I knew his co-host a bit also. The only other people I knew were in the wedding party. So this meant that I needed to make some new friends. Cheese and Lyin' Rogan were at my table but were away frequently so I made friends with the others at the table. I must say they enjoyed me immensely, as would be expected. We hung out for a good portion of the night until they had to leave with their ride. It was at this point that my jacket came off, my tie was loosened and I hit the dance floor. The liquor called the shots after that. But I exerted enough sheer effort on the parquet floor section that I wasn't under its spell by the end of the night. Just overwhelmed with sheer exhaustion. We didn't rest until three bells sounded in the night. It was a the latest night of the summer for the Tugboat. But without the booze nagging the next day, the morning was actually quite nice.

There were harvest notes to be taken the next day and after making an unnecessary stop for that, the rest of the day was given over to those efforts. It was nice to get them taken care of before the hectic week that would be follow....
