Long Layoff
Well, the Tugboat is finally back at the computer. And has finally recorded more podcasts that have been or will be added to the collection. It was a long and unnecessary layoff. I simply didn't take the time. I was busy with other things, life in general got in the way. Some days it was a lack of motivation, others it was lack of time. Nothing much of significance has happened to me that I'm willing to share at this time. It's July now. I can state that I went to Cheese's bachelor party, which is the catalyst for me being derailed from my structured routine. I've been a leaf on the wind since then. Flitting from spot to spot, aimlessly drifting on the breeze. Well not entirely, I do have to go to work erryday and I have social responsibilities like laundry and personal grooming that require attention on a regular basis. So not the hippy/dangerous drifter situation you are no doubt envisioning. I've always wondered about that lifestyle though. As a small child my future aspirations included getting a dog and a Winnebago and touring North America for the year. Focusing on the North in the Summer months and moving south for the winter ones. Having no concept on money at that age, it made for a plausible and enjoyable fantasy. One that hasn't fully released me yet. I still daydream about doing it. It has been pushed back to more of a retirement adventure now. I did have a couple of tastes of my dream though in recent years. One year, a group of traveled to Chicago and Milwaukee on an adventure to learn about the cities and have some experiences. Another year, a group of family sailed across the skies to Scotland and Ireland and visited the major cities of those countries. Both were good times, although not equal in grandeur, both offered unique experiences. Sorry boys, overseas was better, not only for the history, but for the duration, and variety as well. I think I've shared enough for now. I hope to be back on the wire soon. There are those podcasts to put up also so watch out for those. See you sooner!
