Sunny, Snowy Sunday
I won't guarantee that I will come back on here later to add some more fun content but at this point I will settle for another current events update. We got the combine reassembled. There was a lot of grease and filth involved and some assembly and then disassembly as well. At least it was with steel this time and not the crappy wood that IKEA sells you. That stuff is only meant to be done once and anything more and it's a problem. Trust me, I like to do it all three or four times to really get it right. Anyways, we got the machine back together and finished off our soybeans. My kid did a very thorough job cleaning the combine out afterwards. So much so that I was home over an hour later than I planned but it's done. Later today we're going to switch the head over and get into the serious crop. But I thought I would just give an update for those of you that are following along at home. I haven't had much leisure time this week to write any posts or do anything awesome so it's a bit dry. Much like the potatoes that are currently baking in the oven. Why? I'm not sure. I figured they'd be safer baked than raw. Plus now I just need to add butter and salt and I have a big chunk of a meal done, just like that. I am hoping to eat better next week. This past week I only had lunch on Friday. My staff nutritionist Sierra, Sierra would be quite upset with me. Ah well, you win some, you lose some. What?
Here is a short video of the re-assembled and running shaft.
