Tent-Venture Season Three - Episode 3

Tent-Venture - S03E03

September 27

I pushed it down a bit aggressively and put a spacer ring in. It really didn’t want to bend this way and I had to tape up a stem that split a little bit (bottom left) but I think it’ll be fine.

September  28

It’s fine.

October 4

It’s pretty bushy at this stage so I tried to fold it down.

IMG_4400.JPG

I went too hard and broke a damn stem.

October 7 - Day 71 from emergence

I did one last trim. I’ll flip to flower in 2-3 days after it recovers from this.

October 10

I flipped the light schedule today and filled the reservoir.

Time for a low-attention flowering period!

Tent-Venture Season Three - Episode 2

I’m posting the following journey undertaken by my friend Theodore Complete on their behalf.

Tent-Venture - S03E02

The ignoring continues.

Sept 10

I put the scrog net on to work on the eventual manifold. Probably the most time I have actively spent on this grow was putting the string on the frame.

Sept 13

Seems to be progressing well so far. This makes me angry over the time I wasted on previous grows.

IMG_4336.JPG

Sept 15

Second topping and clearing of lower nodes. The plan is to do this once more to have an 8 node plant.

IMG_4337.JPG

Sept 23

Enough growth after 8 more days of ignoring it that I’m able to top again. The leaves feel wilted a bit so I dialled up the water.

IMG_4333.JPG

Sept 24

Yep that did it.  Back to being healthy. Now I’ll let this go for a while more. I should get 8 bud sites out of this, and I’ll keep everything else cleaned off.

IMG_4334.JPG

I guess all the learning and investment I put in before makes this possible. The tap water over distilled from the last grow may prove the most interesting. I’m not sure if I want to use nutrients yet or not either.

Tent-Venture Season Three - Episode 1

I’m posting the following journey undertaken by my friend Theodore Complete on their behalf.

Tent-Venture - S03E01

The Season of Neglect.

I didn’t need to do this. I’ve barely touched my last harvest and given most away at this point with a healthy surplus remaining. I have no great urge to have more cannabis and haven’t even really smoked in a while. But why not, right? I bought all this shit, I may as well grow it.

So with that free-wheeling attitude I threw a seed into a pot on July 24 and let nature do it’s thing on the windowsill.  Cinderella C99 is a sativa-dominant strain so this should be a bit different than the last grow.

IMG_4210.JPG

Four days later I noticed a little seedling popped out.

IMG_4211.JPG

I repotted into a small 2 gallon pot and just left it outside and ignored it. Nature did it’s thing anyway by the end of August I had a little outdoor plant still surviving. I decided to take more of an interest in it at this point and repotted into a 7 gallon pot, my largest size of potter to date.

IMG_4212.JPG

I moved it into the tent and it had a big growth kick up to September 8th under the Mars hydro ts1000. The move to 18 hrs of light per day probably stimulated growth quite a bit.

IMG_4214.JPG

So of course I did what any rational person would do. I chopped it down to size.

IMG_4215.JPG

I hope it’s as hearty as I think and pulls through this aggression defoliation.

I feel like this is an experiment in neglect so I’m not going to pH the water on this grow at all, simply leaving tap water in the reservoir.

I’ll check in on it in a few days and see what transpires from here on in. 40 days from emergence and counting.
